“Towards the Lebanese Professional Standards Framework in Teaching and Learning (LBSF)”
Within the framework of the second work-package of the project E-TALEB “Professional Standards Framework for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Lebanese Universities” co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the Beirut Arab University – Beirut Campus – hosted on October 4th 2016, the E-TALEB second Public Roundtable and Workshop entitled: “Towards the Lebanese Professional Standards Framework in Teaching and Learning (LBSF)” with the presence of more than 70 participants from E-TALEB partner and non partner leading universities and educational institutions.
This roundtable included words of the Director General of Higher Education in Lebanon, Prof. Ahmad Jammal, the National ERASMUS + Office Coordinator, Dr. Aref Assoufi, the Provost of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and E-TALEB Project Coordinator, Prof. Georges Yahchouchi and the Dean of Student Affairs and the E-TALEB Project Coordinator at Beirut Arab University, Prof. Sobhi Abou Chahine.
Also, the event included presentations from E-TALEB UK partners, Staff and Educational Development Association and Roehampton University regarding the draft Lebanese Professional Standards Framework in teaching and learning, followed by a debate and a workshop where participants discussed how to put these standards into practice in Lebanese Universities.
